Song Lyrics Of The Day

Every Friday I think we all should kick off the weekend with the song lyrics of they day.

What are the song lyrics of the day you ask?

Well, I put my iTunes on shuffle and pick the top 10 songs and the lyrics I like from them.

Enjoy.

1. So there we were back home from somewhere inside my head, well bravely I fought off the monsters beneath her bed. -- Sunburn- Owl City

2. If you only knew what my heart goes through for you, I'm trying to break through, don't you think it's worth the chance. --Avalanche- Marie Digby

3. We'll set the stage and let the records play, on a Saturday, and we can dance forever, we'll burn the lights that let the city sway, when we set the stage, and we can dance forever. --Dance Forever- Allstar Weekend

4. Give me a second go, don't let me go alone, you saw me at the worst you caught me fallin first all I wanted to know, give me a second go. -- Second Go- Lights

5. I said no more teachers and no more books, I gotta kiss under the bleachers hoping that nobody looks. -- My First Kiss- 3OH!3 feat. Ke$ha

6. I'm so in love with you, my mind is set on you, this time and every time I just can't get enough of you, and when I'm stuck at home they think I'm all alone, don't know what I would do if they knew I was here with you. --Here with you- Allstar Weekend

7. California girls, were unforgettable, daisy dukes, bikinis on top, sun-kissed skin, so hot we'll melt your Popsicle. --California Girls- Katy Perry

8. Half of my hearts got a grip on the situation, half of my heart takes time, half of my hearts got a right mind to tell you that I can't keep loving you, with half of my heart. --Half of my heart- John Mayer

9. I wanna be a billionaire so frickin bad buy all of the things I never had, I wanna be on the cover of Forbes magazine smiling next to Oprah and the Queen. -- Billionaire- Travie McCoy

Oh my, pet peeves!

Pet peeves, everyone has them.

We wouldn't be human if nothing annoyed us.

Wikipedia defines Pet Peeves as: a minor annoyance that an individual identifies as particularly annoying to them, to a greater degree that others may find it.

People are annoyed by the strangest things and I have to admit that I do have a couple pet peeves.

1. Tags sticking out of peoples shirts-- I don't know what it is, but it gets me every time. Tags are meant to be kept inside your shirt, not showing on the outside. When I see friends with their tags hanging out of their shirt I have to tuck them back in. It's almost like the tag is lost and needs to be put back in its place.

2. Wobbly Chairs-- I can't stand wobbly chairs. It's not right! It really annoys me especially when you're sitting on the chair for a decent amount of time, and every time you move you keep tipping side to side or forwards and backwards. I remember in Spanish class back in high school we had to pick a chair and I would test out every chair until I found one that wasn't wobbly. When I found that right chair I could hear the choirs sing!

3. Using the word "all's"-- When people use the word "all's" in their sentence it annoys me! For example "All's I know is that I want to go back there." No! That's not right! It should be "All I know is I want to go back there."

4. When people move my stuff-- Another one of my pet peeves is when people move my stuff. I put it in a place that I will remember where it is and when someone moves it I go crazy 'cause I can't find it.

5. When people cut me off while driving-- Basically, if you don't know how to drive... get off the road.

Those are some of my pet peeves. If you have any crazy ones, leave me a comment and let me know.

Allstar Weekend -- stars for sure

I can honestly say that the band Allstar Weekend is my absolute favorite.

If you haven't heard of them before, which a lot of Canadians haven't, they are a four member boy band who recently were signed to Disney/Hollywood records after competing in Radio Disney's N.B.T (next big thing).

San Diego residents, Zach Porter, Cameron Quiseng, Michael Martinez, and Nathan Darmody started off as the band Allstar, named after the Smash Mouth hit "Allstar".

From county fairs, and random stage shows, the San Diego natives were discovered by a Disney representative while handing out flyer's outside the Jonas Brother 3D movie.

Lucky guys? I think so! Soon after, they found out they would be competing on Radio Disney against other music hopefuls to become Radio Disney's Next Big Thing.

A year later the band is releasing their first album "Suddenly" and is going on a summer tour touching every major U.S state and major cities in Canada.

Look for Allstar Weekend at a state or city near you.

Opinion:

Why do I like them so much? Well that's a great question isn't it?

They are multicultural! I love it!

What most girls like about boy bands is their good looks, good looks, and.. good looks.

This band is more than good looks, they have catchy fun electro/pop music, and they are real.

What I mean by REAL is:

After every show they go out and meet their fans, sign posters/pictures, they do live chats on Ustream answering fan question and saying shout outs (I got a shout out today, Zach said "Hey Alyssia in Vancouver"), and are just really involved with their fans.

I haven't got the chance to see them live yet, but if they come here I'll definitely have a ticket to their show.

I would love to get the chance to meet them and interview them for my blog and hopefully that day and chance will come.

Tweet, tweet, Twitter

Twitter, the most popular social networking site made popular by the one and only Ashton Kutcher.

A hundred and forty character updates sent all over the inter-web and celebrities galore.

After days, weeks, months, and even a year of despising Twitter, I've given in to the Twitter Community.

Although, I have to say at 19 year of age I'm not really into all the social networking sites.

Facebook- has too many privacy issues, Myspace- takes forever to edit your profile, Bebo- what the heck is Bebo, and Twitter- well I have to say isn't so welcoming.

After 4 days of signing up and tweeting I only have 2 followers. TWO! I thought I was a lot more interesting, even my YouTube has more subscribers than I have followers.

Obviously I'm no Ellen Degeneres, or Demi Lovato, but hey! I'm interesting as well.

I'll have you know that I am a singer/songwriter, a journalism student, a guitar player, an adventurist, and a great person.

But, no. That's obviously not interesting enough.

Besides the lack of followers, I think my Twitter page is beyond awesome.

I've designed my page to the style, colours, and background I want, and its all MINE!

I can follow all my favorite celebrities, and friends, and you get the feeling like you're in the loop.

Tweet, tweet, goes the twitter bird. I guess I'm left without any more words.

Zip trek Ecotours-- Whistler

Zip Trek Ecotours– Whether it be their Eagle tour, Bear tour, or even the free zip line that was downtown Vancouver, you’re bound to have a great experience.

I got the chance to experience the Zip Trek Ecotours “Bear Tour” in Whistler, British Columbia and I must say it was thrilling, exciting, fast, fun, and the views were breathtaking.

On the Bear tour, zip trekkers get to experience 5 different zip lines ranging in different lengths and heights.

As well as zipping, guests get to learn about the environment and their surroundings.

On the 10 minute drive up, guests get to cross both Whistler mountain and Blackcomb, and get a great view of the Whistler Sliding Centre, used for bobsleigh, skeleton, and luge at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.

The zip line tours run all year-long, rain, snow, or shine.

If you get the chance to go up to Whistler, zip trekking is one of the many things you have to do up there.

As an adventuress, I have to say it was definitely worth it. I even hung upside down 900 ft off the ground.

Old, young, adventuress, or just someone looking to do something different, Zip trekking is definitely something that everyone should have a chance to experience.
